Hey There
As the founder of L.A.'S Traveling Baby Shower, I'm excited to welcome you to our community dedicated to supporting underserved families and communities.

I've always had a heart for helping others, a passion that has guided me throughout my life's journey. Despite my initial plans to pursue a career in computer science, my path eventually led me to the medical field, where I found fulfillment in merging my love for technology with my desire to make a difference in people's lives.

L.A.'S Traveling Baby Shower isn't about hosting baby showers; it's about so much more. Our mission is to travel far and wide, reaching those who need our support the most. We're here to shower underprivileged families and communities with love, resources, and encouragement, empowering them to achieve their goals and thrive.

All About Me
I am a daughter of the King, wife, mother, and grandmother.
I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio.
When I look back over my life, now I can see that I have always had a heart for helping others.
My plans after graduating high school were to attend college and become a systems analyst (writing computer programs). I was good at it too. So much so that I was accepted into the prestigious MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). Because of financial reasons back in 1980, going that far away from home wasn’t feasible. I ended up attending Cleveland State University.
After two quarters at Cleveland State University, I no longer had the desire to become a systems analyst. I developed an interest in the medical field.
To make a long story short I was still fascinated with computer science but also had the desire to work in the medical field.
After working a few medical office jobs over a period of four years, computers were starting to merge into the medical field. This was a dream come true my two worlds were coming together. Well, back to college I went. Myers University to get a BS/BA degree in Health Service Management. Along this journey I received several certifications. Certified Medical Assistant, EKG Technician from Cleveland Institute of Medical Assistants, CMOM (Certified Medical Office Manager) from Practice Management Institute, and becoming a member of their advisory board, and HIT (Certified Health Information Technology) Tri-C Cuyahoga
Community College.
Well, my two worlds had finally merged, and I loved what I was doing and enjoyed going to work every day. I was helping others but also educating the medical community with my knowledge of computer science, being one of the few offices that started using (EMR) electronic medical records before its mandate. My vision and mission in life is to always help those that are less fortunate.
My heart smiles whenever I can give to pay it forward. L.A.’S Traveling Baby Shower is not what you would think by just reading the name. We are not an organization that travels around doing baby showers. Let’s break the name down. We are traveling because our goal is to get as many resources as possible to the underprivileged and under-represented parents and communities by delivering it directly to them. The word shower to us means that we are going to shower these people and communities with lots of love and support to help them achieve their goals.

I look forward to the future as we take this organization to the next level by fulfilling our mission to bridge the gap between low-income and poverty, and our vision to provide direction for mental and physical support services for parents to be able to care for their newborn babies and children.
I am just a vessel it’s His Purpose, His Plan and His Provision.
